General Questions:
How much does CNR cost?
A standard CNR is FREE and Gold CNR costs $49.95 / year. Details are at this Linspire.com link: http://www.linspire.com/products_cnr_whatis.php?tab=whatis
If I stop subscribing to CNR will the programs I've downloaded stop working?
No. The software you get through CNR will not stop working, but you won't be able to download them again unless you are a CNR Warehouse member. You are paying for the convenience of using the CNR Service not for the programs.
I would like to see a certain application in CNR.
The Voting booth allows you to nominate applications, you would like in CNR. CNR Members, Insiders, etc get a certain amount of votes.
There is certain application that is already in CNR, but it really needs to be updated.
The Voting booth also allows you to nominate applications to be updated as well.
How can I install programs that are not in CNR?
Linspire is a Debian-based, so you can install programs like any other Debian-based linux distro. See apt-get and Different methods to install Linux software
Technical Questions:
How do I permanently delete a program from the "My Products" tab in CNR?
You must Remove it from your My.Linspire.com > My Products > My Library to affect the My Products tab.
I'm having a problem with CNR!
This is most likely caused by something either on your machine, or it has to do with the connection between your machine and the Linspire server. Here are a few things to try. You also might be trying to use CNR during infrequent server maintenance or even heavy user traffic.
How do I save my CNR downloads locally so I don't have to download them again in incidents such as reinstalling Linspire ?
You need to create a repository. Here is a good FAQ at the Linspire Support sitethat covers how to do that. You should check what version of CNR client you are running.
